- To go without water for an entire 24 hours.
You are allowed ,for medical purposes,
1- 8 oz glass of water for taking medication.
Swallow it with gratefulness.
Gratefulness for clean water to take available medication.

Why do this?
Because our African friends do this.
So we can get a small glimpse of what their lives are like.
What they face everyday.
Will we truly "get it"? Probably not.
I pray it will build a greater awareness and compassion in us that God can continue to fuel for His purposes,
which are always better than ours.
Some might think "friends" is too strong a word.
I haven't met them .
My daughter has, my dearest friend Lisa Brodie (founder of Dig Deep) has, but I have yet to have the privilege and may never.
I write from a perspective of one who does not fully grasp,
but who is seeking and wanting an open heart laid bare for others.
No I haven't met them. You haven't met them
But friend is not to strong of a word,
because they are brothers and sisters in Christ.
What if they are not?
What if you are not ?
Not yet belonging to Christ?
the key word here is YET
As our youth pastor JD Ost likes to say
"You're either saved or pre-saved by Jesus who loves you"
This I believe.
Matthew 25 clearly states that we have opportunity to give to Christ himself by loving "the least of these". Jesus never said " the known of these"
He calls us to minister to Him by loving our brothers and sisters ,
wherever and whoever they may be.
